About Android Virales
Real Android advice from real-world experience
Est. 2023
Our Story
Android Virales started with a simple frustration: most Android help online is either copy-pasted from official documentation or written by people who haven’t actually held the device they’re talking about.
Three years ago, after factory resetting my phone for the fifth time to fix an app crash that turned out to be a 30-second cache clear, I decided something had to change. I was tired of generic advice. Tired of “restart your phone” being the only solution. Tired of guides written by content farms that clearly never tested a single step.
So I started testing. Every solution. On real devices. With real problems. I bought used phones specifically to break them and figure out how to fix them. I spent weekends analyzing crash logs with Logcat. I learned which “optimization” apps actually work and which ones are just battery vampires in disguise.
Android Virales was born from that obsession.
What We Do
We publish thoroughly tested, step-by-step guides that solve real Android problems. Our coverage spans four main areas:
Android Performance & Optimization
Battery draining too fast? Phone slowing down after an update? We dig into the actual causes — not the surface-level fixes. Our optimization guides are tested across multiple device brands and Android versions to ensure they work in the real world, not just on paper.
Android Customization & Troubleshooting
Bluetooth refusing to pair? Wi-Fi showing connected but no internet? Apps crashing randomly? We troubleshoot the problems that make you want to throw your phone at a wall. Every guide includes multiple solutions ranked by effectiveness, because we know the first fix doesn’t always work.
Android Productivity & Apps
From automation with Google Assistant Routines to digital wellbeing strategies that actually stick, we cover the apps and workflows that make your phone a tool rather than a distraction. Every app recommendation is personally tested for at least two weeks before it makes it into a guide.
Home Screen & UI Customization
Your phone should feel like yours. We cover launcher setups, icon packs, widget configurations, font changes without root, and notification panel customization — all tested to ensure they don’t compromise performance or stability.
Our Testing Process
Every guide on Android Virales follows a rigorous testing methodology:
- Problem reproduction: We recreate the issue on at least two different devices from different manufacturers.
- Solution research: We examine official documentation, developer forums, and manufacturer support channels.
- Hands-on testing: Every solution is tested personally. No copy-pasting steps we haven’t walked through ourselves.
- Device variety: Where possible, we test on stock Android, Samsung One UI, Xiaomi MIUI/HyperOS, OxygenOS, and other popular skins.
- Rollback verification: We verify that any changes we recommend can be reversed if they don’t work for you.
- Update checks: Popular guides are re-tested quarterly and updated when Android versions change menu locations or setting names.

Our Values
Independence above all. We are not owned by a tech conglomerate. We don’t take money from manufacturers to recommend their products. Our recommendations are based solely on what actually works. If a solution is terrible, we’ll say so — even if it’s the official one.
Honesty about limitations. We’ll tell you when a problem requires professional repair. We’ll warn you before a troubleshooting step might affect your warranty. We’ll admit when a guide hasn’t been tested on a specific device variant.
Respect for your time. We know you’re reading our guides because something is broken and you need it fixed now. We don’t bury the solution under 2,000 words of fluff. We get to the point, rank solutions by effectiveness, and tell you which fix to try first.
Privacy by default. We don’t recommend apps that harvest your data. We warn you about permissions that apps don’t need. We believe your phone should work for you, not for advertisers.
Who Writes Here
Currently, Android Virales is primarily written and maintained by a single editor with a background in mobile technology and three years of hands-on Android troubleshooting experience. We occasionally publish guest contributions from trusted Android developers and power users, but every article — regardless of author — goes through the same testing and fact-checking process.
We’re actively building a small team of contributors who share our obsession for tested, honest Android advice. If you’re an Android enthusiast who actually tests what you write, we’d love to hear from you.
How We Make Money
Android Virales is funded through:
- Display advertising: We use Google AdSense to show ads on our site. These ads are clearly distinguishable from our content.
- Affiliate links: Some links to apps or products may earn us a small commission if you make a purchase. This costs you nothing extra.
These revenue sources do not influence our editorial decisions. We have never accepted payment for positive coverage, and we never will. If we recommend something, it’s because we believe it’s the best solution — not because it pays the most.
